Marjorie Rushka Obituary

Marjorie Estelle Rushka, 95, of Dillsburg, PA  passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle.


She was born January 5, 1929, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl (Smith) Trainor.


Marge was the widow of Ronald "Roy" J. Rushka.


Marge was a loving and devoted wife of 65 years and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Marge loved to paint, and was quite an accomplished artist. She was one of the first members of Ohio Plein Air Society. She also displayed and sold her art at the Sharon Weiss Gallery in Columbus, Ohio.  In her earlier years, she enjoyed swimming, skiing and figure skating. Marge enjoyed listening and singing to music. She was quite the stylish dresser, loved to travel, watch old movies, good food, and her chocolates!  She loved to talk  and her sense of humor, one liners and comebacks were a delight. 


Marge loved life and was truly a positive and happy person. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and all whose lives she touched. The family would like to express special thanks to Sarah Todd Home for their loving care. 


Marge is survived by four children, Brian Rushka (Athena) of Santa Rosa, CA, Diana Berlin (Reginald) of Dillsburg, Brenda Rushka ( Steven Pendleton) of Columbus, OH, Robert Rushka (Becky) of Dayton, OH; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Trisha  and Jason Parks and their children, Reeve, Cambria, Tori; David and Colleen Berlin and their children, Claire, Charlotte, Michael; Jacob Rushka, Sophia Rushka; Shayne Berlin, and Tonya and John Beshore.


Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sarah A. Todd Home Benevolent Endowment Trust Fund, 30 North 31st. Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
