Mary L. (Miller) Cottenham

Mary L. Cottenham, 101, of Dillsburg passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at her home.

   She was born November 5, 1921, in Lemoyne, PA the daughter of the late Ward and Mary (Anderson) Miller.

   Mary was the widow of Jacob J. Cottenham.

  She was the co-owner, along with her husband, of the former Cottenham Grocery Store in Siddonsburg. Mary also worked at the Mechanicsburg Navy Depot during W.W. II.

   She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of God and a former member of the Monaghan Township Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. 

   Mary is survived by three daughters, Karen E. Cunningham (Sam) of Newville, Linda S. Lockhart (Tom)  and Lori A. Kramer (Jeff), both of Dillsburg; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death, along with her husband and brother, by one grandson, Sammy.

   Services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. A viewing will be held from 10:00 am-11:00 am prior to the service. Burial will be held in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dillsburg.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Mt. Pleasant Church of God, 146 South York Road, Dillsburg, PA 17019.
