Mary Marie (Yesconis) Gasswint

Mary M. Gasswint, 63, passed away Sunday, April 12th, 2026 at her home in Mechanicsburg, PA with her family.  Born March 7th, 1963 at Harrisburg Hospital Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Joseph A. Yesconis and Catherine M. Yesconis.

   She was a graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College where she earned her Associate in Nursing. She served as a Registered Nurse for 28 years at various hospitals including Holy Spirit, Hershey Medical Center, and Helen Simpson Rehab. She enjoyed her time in wound care nursing and providing comfort to those in need.

   She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Randy; their son, Tyler; sisters Susan Archer, Kathleen McCurdy, and Patricia Holjes; brothers Steve Yesconis and Ken Yesconis; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

   Those who knew Mary will remember her for her kindness, strength, and unwavering spirit. She faced her two-year battle with pancreatic cancer with courage and grace. A devoted animal lover, Mary found joy and companionship in her rescue dog, Odin, who will miss her dearly.

   In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Speranza Animal Rescue, 1216 Brandt Rd, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055  are appreciated in Mary’s memory.

   Memorial Services will be held Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA, with a Visitation to be held on Saturday, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the Service at the Funeral Home.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
