Mary Frances Heisey, 88, of York, PA passed away July 18, 2026, at the Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in York.
She was born July 29, 1937, in Ridgefield Park, NJ, the daughter of the late John E. and Frances C. (Thomas) Davis.
Mary was the widow of John W. Heisey.
She earned her B.S. Degree in Music Education from Susquehanna University and her Masters in Music Education from the University of Arizona.
Mary taught music at Linden Hall Junior College and School for Girls in Lititz, PA; Northeastern Junior-Senior High School in Manchester, PA; and taught piano and organ privately. She served as organist/choir director in a variety of denominations since the age of 15. Mary also enjoyed composing music and writing for various publications.
Mary was a member of Lancaster Brethren in Christ Church.
She enjoyed traveling, reading about composers and faith-related matters, and acting.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 11:00 am in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Road.
