Mary L. (Thomas) Ireland

Mary L. Ireland, 80, formerly of Duncannon passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the home of her son in Enola.

   She was born August 30, 1942, in Carlisle the daughter of the late James and Hattie (Miller) Thomas.

   Mary was a retired cook and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and Yahtzee.  She was a former member of Cove Bible Church.

   Mary is survived by two daughters, Terry L. Rhoads of Dillsburg, Brenda E. Brango of Philadelphia; a son, Richard Ireland and his wife Christine of Enola; two grandchildren, Stephanie R. Miller, Ronald Welsh, Jr.; and several great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her siblings, Paul Thomas, Charles Thomas, Betty Wagner; and the father of her children Paul Smyser.

   Services will be held Friday, April 28, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. A viewing will be held Friday from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Franklin Cemetery, Dillsburg.
