Mary L. Schnakenburg, 81, of New Oxford, PA passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Wellspan-York Hospital.
She was born June 28, 1943, in Waynesboro, PA the daughter of the late Ennis S. and Grace M. (Spangler) Pfoutz.
Mary was the widow of Stanley L. Deibler, Richard Frey, and Walter "Bill" Schnakenburg.
She is survived by her husband George W. Carroll; four children, Steven L. Deibler (Patti) of Enola, David A. Deibler (Kim) of York Haven, Brian J. Deibler (Veronica) of Albuquerque, NM, Cindy L. Deibler (Will) of New Oxford; two brothers, Robert Pfoutz of Roanoke, VA and William Pfoutz of Waynesboro; six grandchildren, Eric, Bobby, Ashley, Nick, Maddy, Sam; several step-children and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mary was a homemaker most of her life but in her later years she worked for Home Instead and Joann Fabrics.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many positions within the church and touched many lives.
Services will be held Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 11:00 am in her church, 1170 Kohler Mill Rd., New Oxford, PA., 17350. A visitation will be held Thursday from 9-11 am at the church. Burial will be held in the Sunnyside Cemetery, York Springs.
