Mildred Kraybill Obituary

Mildred Louise Sollenberger Kraybill, entered the presence of her Lord on September 11th, 2021, at the age of 94.  She was surrounded by her husband Homer, of 69 years and her loving children.  Mildred is predeceased by her parents, Ezra G. and Mary L. (Patterson) Sollenberger; her brothers, Glenn and Grove Sollenberger and her three sisters, Blanche Strite, Anna Mary McBride and Ethel Sollenberger.

Mildred is survived by her husband of 69 years, Homer L. Kraybill.  Her two children:  Theodore (Ted) Kraybill and his wife, Beth, of Waverly, NY and Dana Musser, of Lititz, PA as well as by her four grandchildren: Shaun (Holly) Musser, of Lititz, PA;  Katlyn (Matthew) Irwin, Jana Kraybill and Kristianna (Isaac) Santos.  She adored her five great-grandchildren, Lucas, Caleb, Uriah, Gabriel and Olivia along with many other nieces and nephews.

Mildred was born in Stricklerdale, PA on November 8th, 1926.  She helped her parents on the farm with milking cows prior to attending school each morning.  Mildred graduated from Washington Township High School in 1945 after which she worked for a year at the Stanley Company in Chambersburg.  She was contacted by Upland College, Upland CA in 1947 and accepted the invitation with a young lady from her church, who was also accepted.  Together they traveled to California and Mildred graduated from Upland College with a Jr. Diploma in 1950.

Mildred became a committed follower of Jesus Christ at the age of 10.  She taught Sunday School and Bible School and was also a committed Deacon's wife.  She helped with the Eat and Run program, the Mennonite Central Committee and the sewing auxiliary.  Mildred was an accomplished seamstress and she, along with her skilled sewing will be missed by many.

All who knew Mildred, but especially her family, will miss her beautiful smile and unlimited love she freely bestowed on them.  Her kind and gentle heart for everyone she met is far reaching and now SO missed.
