Murray M. Shoffner, 87, of Lewisberry, passed away Friday, June 12th, 2026 at his daughter’s home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Tuesday, May 9th, 1939 in Lewisberry, York County, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Charles and Ruth Hoover Shoffner.
Murray had worked and retired from Monaghan Township, was a member of the Monaghan Township Fire Company and the Williams Grove Historical and Preservation Society. He also enjoyed Bingo, gardening, hunting, Blacksmithing and woodworking.
He was the widower of the late Priscilla M. Smith Shoffner.
Murray is survived by his loving family: His daughter, Sandra K. Spanier and her husband, Joseph, of Lewisberry. His grandchildren: Dylan, Nicole and Eric. His great-grandchildren: Parker, Kylee, Haley, Brielle, Carson and Charlotte. His sisters: Laura Miller, of Hurst, TX and Carol Maahs, of Bedford, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents and wife, Murray was predeceased by his son, Terry L. Shoffner; his sister, Nancy Burgess and his brother, Roger Shoffner.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 16th, 2026 at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA. A visitation will be held Tuesday, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be alongside his wife in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
