Nancy Radich Poole, of Dillsburg, died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Chapel Pointe, Carlisle PA. She was the widow of Rev. James Poole Sr whom she met while working at Isaly’s Store during their high school years and went on to celebrate 65 years of marriage.
Born in Lynnwood, PA. on July 27, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret Radich. Nancy graduated from Rostraver High School , Class of 1955.
After her husband dedicated his life to the Lord he enrolled in Toccoa Falls Bible College, Toccoa, Georgia where she served as the beloved Baker where students made requests of her peach cobbler and oatmeal cake. They served in ministry in several church locations with the Christian & Missionary Alliance Denomination. While raising her family and supporting her husband’s ministry she had a few side jobs her last working in the cafeteria in Northern York County School District. They ended their ministry serving the Dillsburg CMA church.
Nance loved her Lord and wanted to share His love, grace and mercy with anyone who would listen. She enjoyed her many Bible Studies her favorite being under the tutelage of Joyce Anderson. In addition to being a wonderful baker she was also a master gardener. She loved her flowers!
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Richard Jr. and husband James H Poole Sr. She is survived by her brother, John Radich of Texas , her son Jim and wife Jill of Dillsburg and her daughter, Donna Watson of Palatine, Illinois. He also has four grandchildren, Aaron (Heather), Hanover, PA.; Zachary (Cristina), Los Angeles, CA; Kristin, Buffalo Grove, IL; Katie of Palatine, IL. and a great granddaughter, Margaret; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Nancy’s family would like to acknowledge the many kindnesses extended to her during the past few years by friends, neighbors and the caring staff at Chapel Pointe.
There will be a graveside service on June 22nd at 11:00 am at the Dillsburg Cemetery on Golf Course Road followed by a meal to share stories and remember her life.
