Norman Clair McLaughlin, 93, went to be with the Lord on September 23rd, 2025, at his home.
He was born on January 30th, 1932, to the late Franklin and Helen McLaughlin and was the last surviving of their 10 children.
He met the love of his life, Rheta Mae in 8th grade. They were married for 671/2 years before she passed on April 25, 2021.
Norman served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years as a Sergeant responsible for the mechanics of a B24 bomber. He had his own trucking business for most of his life, then worked at Laurel Valley Farms as a general manager until he fully retired.
He was known for his strong Christian beliefs, honest hard work ethics and love for his family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was known for his meticulous maintenance of his vehicles and lawn care. He and Rheta traveled to 48 of the United States and enjoyed telling family and friends about their experiences. He was a Masonic Lodge member for 71 years.
Norman is survived by his 4 children and spouses, Franklin (Joyce) McLaughlin, Susan (Douglas) Howard, Leonard (Penny) McLaughlin, and Amy (Lance Eshleman) McLaughlin. He also is survived by 7 grandchildren, Laura, Nicole, Joe, Travis, Clayton, Cody, Owen, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, September 27th, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. A viewing will be held Saturday from 10-11am followed by Masonic services. Burial will be held in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Road.

We rejoice Mom and Dad are now together again as their marriage was truly a love story for all who knew them. Rest in peace. You are forever loved.
