Paula (Gayman) Slothower

Paula Gayman Slothower, 60, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the UPMC West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg, PA.

She was born September 15, 1964, in Harrisburg, PA the daughter of the late Robert F. and Emma "Bette" (Davis) Gayman.

Paula was employed as an Ethics & Compliance Specialist with GuideWell Source in Mechanicsburg for over 30 years. She previously worked for Highmark and the Army Corp. of Engineers PennDOT. 

Paula previously volunteered with the Dillsburg Girl Scouts of America Troop #519 as a leader, Wellsville Boy Scouts of America Troop #146 as a leader and Secretary-Treasurer, Citizens Hose Co. #1 where she was an EMT and Secretary, Kevin Butler Memorial Scholarship-committee member, and Northern York County Historical and Preservation Society-Dill Tavern Volunteer.

She enjoyed Minis and Dollhouses, crafting, shopping and thrifting with her best friend for over 50 years, Lori (Schrum) Ross. 

Paula is survived by her husband Jeffrey Slothower; two sons, Adam M. Grace (Rachel) of Mechanicsburg, Michael C. Goodyear of Wellsville; two step-children, Lexi R. Farrell (John) of Carlisle, Zachary A. Slothower (Abbey) of Bainbridge; siblings, Kris G. Leinicke of Rock Island IL and son Sam,  Tracey G. Binner of Florida, Kurt Gayman of New Cumberland and daughter Raven; six grandchildren, Sarai Farrell, Kevin Farrell, Kaden Farrell, Carter Farrell, Colton Slothower, Caroline Slothower; and her shelties Couper and Archer. She was preceded in death along with her parents by a nephew Jacob "Jake" Binner.  

A celebration of life will be held in the Wellsville Fire Company, 95 Community St., Wellsville, PA 17365 on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 1-4 pm.

A private interment will be held at the Historical Monaghan Church.
