Pauline B. (Swab) Collanbine

Pauline B. Collanbine, 97, formerly of Lewistown, passed away Sunday, April 16th, 2023, at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home in Carlisle.

   She was born Sunday, November 29th, 1925, in Mifflintown, PA the daughter of the late Frederick L. and Mary E. (Shreffler) Swab.

   Pauline was the widow of Walter J. Collanbine who passed away on February 23, 2005,  after 52 years of marriage. 

   She was retired from the American Viscose Company in Lewistown after 40 years of service. 

   Pauline was active in many ladies groups in Lewistown. She liked following politics and spent many years caring for her husband during his illness. Pauline looked out for everyone in the family and always helped wherever she could. Pauline was wise, generous, strong, patient, appreciative and never complained.  

   She is survived by her daughter, Debra K. Shuey (Ronald) of Mechanicsburg; two grandsons, Christopher M. Below (Nicole) of East Berlin, Jeremy R. Below (Heidi) of York Haven; one step-granddaughter, Lorie A. Shuey of North Carolina; two great-granddaughters, Jordan S. and Riley Q. Below. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and John Swab.

   Services will be held Friday, April 21st, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. A viewing will be held Friday from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in the Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
