Rachel Waneta (Stoppard) Cadwallader

Rachel Waneta Cadwallader, 86, formerly of Wellsville, PA  passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.

She was born November 19, 1939, in Dover, PA the daughter of the late Russell and Katherine (Stein) Stoppard.

Rachel was the widow of William D. Cadwallader.

She was a graduate of Dover High School, class of 1957.

She enjoyed square dancing, a huge Willie Nelson fan, and staying active by going to the gym. Rachel also enjoyed her time residing at the Presbyterian Senior Living Apartments in Dillsburg where she made many friends. Rachel also enjoyed caring for her dog Daisey.

Rachel is survived by two children, Elizabeth L. Dahlhammer (Kenneth) of East Berlin, David C. Cadwallader (Sharon) of Hanover; two siblings, Kenneth Stoppard (Darlene) of Dover, Ruthie Snyder (Lowell) of Austin, TX; four grandchildren, Heidi Dahlhammer, Nathan Dahlhammer, Damon Cadwallader, Dustin Cadwallader; and five great-grandchildren, Avia, Kara, Michael, Ryan, and Nicole. 

She was preceded in death by five siblings, Rhoda Bahn, Anna Mary March, George Stoppard, Luther Stoppard, and Phillip Stoppard. 

Services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill.
