Reverend Gilson Jack Provard

Gilson J Provard (Jack), 94, of Mechanicsburg passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 in Country Meadows Retirement Community Mechanicsburg, PA. 

   He was born February 1, 1932, in Duncannon, PA the son of the late Gilson S. and Sylva Provard. 

   Jack was preceded in death May 2021 by Mildred T. Provard to whom he was happily married for 66 years and served together in ministry in the PennDel Ministry Network and Southern New England Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God where Jack was a Pastor & Ordained Minister for 42 years.  Jack also served in other Ministry positions in Southern New England Ministry Network, PA Adult & Teen Challenge Center in Rehrersburg, PA, and Marketplace Chaplains.

   Jack is survived by two sons: Stephen J. Provard (Lynette) of Mechanicsburg, PA and Theodore M. Provard (Korey) of Trenton, FL.  He has 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

   When not doing ministry together, Jack and Milly spent time fishing and doing some deer hunting in northern Pennsylvania.  Jack loved the Lord and preaching God’s word with all his heart, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be greatly missed.

   Funeral Service will be held at the Cocklin Funeral Home, 30 N. Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 2:00 pm with a viewing from 1-2 pm at the funeral home.
