Richard Paul Olsen

Born August 26, 1946 in Bryn Mawr, PA, Died November 15, 2025 in Dillsburg, PA

Richard Olsen passed peacefully on November 15, 2025 at home, after a brief illness.

Rich was a graduate of Haverford High School and West Chester State College.  In 1968, he started his career as a health and boy’s physical education teacher and former track coach at Northern York County School District, a career that spanned 33 years. 

Rich was also a soccer referee for over 25 years at the club level, PIAA and NCAA, refereeing games throughout Pennsylvania at all levels.

He was also a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Dillsburg, for over 50 years serving as a youth leader in his earlier years and singing in the choir and praise team. 

Richard is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Linda, his children Lauri Arrowsmith (Tim) of San Marcos, CA, Todd (Sherri) of Statesboro, GA and Tallen (Andre) of Voorhees, NJ, his two granddaughters Sarah Epplett (Kolton) of Albion, MI and Ashley Olsen of Dillsburg, three grandsons Cody Moore (Shanice) of Dubuque, IA, and Logan Moore and AJ Moore of Statesboro, GA  and his great-grandson, Andrew Richard Epplett.

A Celebration of Life for Rich will be held on Sunday, November 30 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Methodist Church, 203 Mumper Lane, Dillsburg.
