Richard Charles Yost

Richard C. Yost, 81, of Dillsburg passed away Friday, August 15, 2025, at his home.

He was born April 6, 1944, in Pottsville, PA the son of the late George and Dorothy (Bocam) Yost.

Richard was a career police officer, having worked for Carroll Township and Upper Allen Township Police Departments. He also was a former partner from 1990 until 2010 at C & J Car Care Center in Mechanicsburg. 

Richard was a member of South Mountain V.F.W. Post #6771, American Legion Post #109, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #761. 

He enjoyed visiting his hunting cabin in Tioga County, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. 

Richard is survived by his wife Carol A. (Baldwin) Yost; two daughters, Michelle L. Myers of Mechanicsburg, Brenda E. Heisey (Jesse) of Mechanicsburg; one son, James E. Yost (Jody) of Dillsburg; four grandchildren, Kyle Myers (Mary), Colton Heisey (Taylor), Jamison Heisey (Shannon), Ryan Stambaugh; and a sister, Dorothy of Schuylkill Haven. Richard was preceded in death, along with his parents and siblings,  by a son Robert B. Yost, MD.
