Robert Glenn Helm, Sr.

Robert Glenn Helm, Sr., 77, of York Springs, PA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 2nd, 2026.

   Bob was born Monday, November 22nd, 1948, in Lancaster, PA the son of the late Harold G. and Mildred M. (Gibble) Helm.

   He was a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School class of 1966 and served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard.

   Bob worked in construction, then at Bethlehem Steel, and finally for various trucking companies, retiring from JB Hunt.

   He was a member of the NRA and Bob enjoyed fishing, being in the outdoors, and feeding wildlife. Bob was always willing to help anyone in need and supported many organizations. 

   He is survived by his son, Robert Glenn Helm, Jr. of York Springs; three sisters, Phyllis E. Garvie (Tom) of Harrisburg, Janet L. Weltmer of Etters, Marilyn L. Moore (Jim) of New Cumberland; and one grandchild, Hannah Mull. Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Jodi Leigh Helm.

   A memorial service will be held Friday, July 10th, 2026, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. A visitation will be held Friday from 10-11 am at the funeral home.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
