Robert Charles Leese

Robert Charles Leese, 78, of Dillsburg passed away early Tuesday morning, August 12th, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

      He was born Sunday, December 22nd, 1946 in Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Charles Henry and Anna Romaine Krebs Leese. 

     Robert was a retired Facility Manager with the New Cumberland Army Depot and was a retired Air Force Veteran having served during Vietnam and the Gulf War Conflicts.  He was a member of Chestnut Grove Lutheran Church, York Springs, PA and a Lifetime Member of the Boiling Springs VFW and the Lions Club.

     He also loved hunting, fishing, archery, carpentry and spending time in the woods.  But above all, he loved spending time with his family, (even Molly, Marjory's dog....when she was calm) traveling, playing Solitare or just being together. 

   Robert is survived by his loving and devoted wife of  57years, Marjory Ruth (Ramsey) Leese.  His children:  Bryan Henry Leese and his wife, Betsy, of Chesapeake, VA; Christopher Charles Leese and his wife, Ann, of Carlisle, PA; Heather Marie Leese Wilson and her husband, Guy, of Villanova, PA and Jared Alan Leese and his wife, Jessica, of Easton, PA.  His sister:  Donna Mae (Leese) Murphy and her husband, Clair, of Carlisle.  His grandchildren:  Hannah VanPatten and her husband, Benjamin; Eric Leese, Carly Wilson, Sydney Wilson, Maris Leese, Emma Leese, Harper Leese and Nathan Leese.  His great-grandchild, Henry VanPatten.  In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brother, James M. Leese. 

     Services will be held Friday, August 15th, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Chestnut Grove Lutheran Church, 1136 Mountain Rd, York Springs, PA 17372.  A viewing will be held from 10:30 am until 11:00 am, ½ hour prior to the Service at the Church.  Burial with Military Honors will be held in the Chestnut Grove Church Cemetery. 

     In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials in Robert’s name be made to the Skip Viragh Center for Pancreas Cancer at Johns Hopkins Medicine, 600 N Wolfe St, Baltimore, MD 21287 or his church, Chestnut Grove Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 188, York Springs, PA 17372.
