Ruth A. (Hoy) Myers

Ruth A. (Hoy) Myers, 78, of Dillsburg, passed away Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. 

   She was born December 22, 1944 in Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Foster Daniel and Violet (Shughart) Hoy. 

   Ruth was the widow of the late Valen E. Myers.

   Ruth was a long-time waitress with many local restaurants including the Chalet, Wolf’s Dinner and finally retiring from Baker’s Restaurant.   She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church, of Mechanicsburg. 

   She is survived by her loving family, her son and daughter-in-law: Foster W.  and Susan Stoner, of York Springs.  Her grandchildren:  Foster, Anthony, Heather and Hannah and 5 great-grandchildren.

   Services will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA.  A viewing will be held on Friday, one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Stone Church Cemetery, Enola, PA.
