Samuel Charles Newgard

Samuel Charles Newgard, 82, of Dillsburg passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at his home.

He was born October 31, 1942, in Lancaster County, PA the son of the late Samuel LeFevere and Elizabeth Marie (Welsh) Newgard.

Sam was the widower of Annetta (Lemkelde) Newgard.

He was a retired dishwasher having worked at various restaurants. Sam enjoyed tobacco farming, hunting, and was an avid John Deere enthusiast. 

Sam is survived by his daughter, Robin S. Bobb (Kenneth) of Dillsburg; two grandchildren, Sara and Tyler Bobb; four nieces and nephews, Paul Smith, Jr., Kevin Smith, Kenneth Smith, and Michele Tyson. He was preceded in death along with his wife and parents by a sister, Jean Smith and his nephews Brian Smith and Michael Smith and a niece Dawn Gruber.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
