Sandra Kay (McCurdy) Hertweck

Sandra Kay Hertweck, 82, of Mechanicsburg, PA passed away Tuesday, December 16th, 2025, at the Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center, Enola, PA.

     She was born Tuesday, July 29th, 1943, in Dillsburg, PA the daughter of the late Harry J. and Kathryn M. (Baker) McCurdy.

     Sandy was a graduate of Northern High School class of 1961 and worked as a medical receptionist.  

     She was a member of St Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dillsburg. 

     Sandy enjoyed attending her granddaughters volleyball games and dance recitals, Penn State Football, shopping, spending time with her friends including the "Magnificent 7" and especially going to Aruba with Michael. 

     She is survived by her husband of 61 years Michael J. Hertweck; two children, Denise M. (Hertweck) Swenson and her husband  Alan of Collegeville, Bryan M. Hertweck of Albuquerque, NM; and three granddaughters, Josie Swenson, Carly Swenson, and Meredith Hertweck. Sandy was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth McCurdy.

     Memorial services will be held Friday, January 16th, 2026, at 12:00 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. A visitation will be held Friday from 11:00 am-12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Road.
