Sharon Darlene Brooks, 82, of Mechanicsburg, PA passed Thursday, February 12, 2026, at her home.
She was born June 2, 1943, in Dayton, OH the daughter of the late Ralph O. and Madeline (Blackmore) Shaffer.
Sharon was the widow of Rodney G. Brooks.
She was a retired Receptionist for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania-PA Housing Finance Agency after a long career in banking.
Sharon enjoyed singing in her church choir, jig saw puzzles, being in the summer sun, taking walks, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by two children, Daniel J. Reedy of York, Julianna M. Duncan of Dillsburg; her sister, Gloria J. Wheelock of Ohio; three grandchildren, Blair D. Reedy, Danielle L. Reedy-Ort, Desiree' D. Reedy; and one great-granddaughter, Codi Gene Ort.
Services will be held Saturday, February 21. 2026, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. A visitation will be held from 10-11 am prior to the service. Burial will be held at a later date in the Potsdam Cemetery in Ohio.
