Sharon E. (Ritter) Spahr

Sharon E. (Ritter) Spahr, 71 years of age, from Dillsburg, PA  passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center.

     A wonderful daughter, wife, mother, and beloved friend, has gone to the place of peace and heavenly rest. Born on August 2nd 1953, Seidle Memorial Hospital Mechanicsburg, Pa. The only daughter of Joyce. I (Taylor) Ritter and D. Herbert Ritter Jr, who had passed on before her. Also her youngest brother, Bret Ritter is resting in peace. 

   Sharon is survived by her husband of 51 years, Clarence (Sparky) Spahr, III.  She was extremely proud of her three sons, Dan, Brandon and Matt Spahr.  A loving and kind daughter-in-law, Becky(wife of Brandon). A surviving brother, Jeffery Ritter(wife Kelley).  Four fabulous grandchildren, Zoe M Spahr, David R Spahr, Conner Duncan and Dylan Duncan. Caring Sister-in-laws, Tammy Ritter and Vanessa Bahn. 

   She grow up on the family farm on Rossmoyne Rd, Mechanicsburg. Participated in Cumberland County 4H clubs. A 1971 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School. Worked as an office clerk at Kinney Shoe Company, where she meant her sol mate for life. She was an Avon sales rep for over 35 years and made many friends along the way. A member of former Christ Lutheran Church (Fileys).

   Sharon, according to her granddaughter, was a wonderful scratch cook. The deviled eggs and potato salad were outstanding.  Her hobbies included basket making, ribbon wreath making, reading(especially Amish stories). She enjoyed attending dinner theater, travel (especially Lancaster county), roadside farmer’s markets, and being with family and friends.

   Sharon will be sorely missed by everyone’s lives she touched. She will be remembered in our hearts forever. 

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 15th, 2025 at 3:00 pm in Hope Grace Church, 110 Old York Road, Dillsburg, PA.  A Viewing will be held Saturday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the church.
