Sheldon Mock

Sheldon Mock, 88, of Dillsburg, PA passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024, at the Harrisburg Hospital.

   He was born on September 13, 1936, in Bedford, PA the son of the late Orville F. and Edna K. (Davis) Mock.

   Sheldon was a retired autobody mechanic/repairman/painter having worked for Helms Chevrolet, Capital Volkswagen and Sutliff Chevrolet. 

   He enjoyed fishing, hunting, coin finding, gardening, sporting events, yard sales, collecting and repairing tractors, push mowers, snow blowers, and weed wackers. Sheldon was a member of the former Filey's Lutheran Church in Dillsburg.

   Sheldon is survived by his daughter, Tammy S. (Mock) Medellin. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Brad Medellin (Hannah), Heather Mentzer (Ryan) and three great-grandchildren, Maren, Maxten, and Mason Medellin. In addition, several nieces and nephews. Sheldon was preceded in death by his wife, Doris A. (Lenker) Mock; son-in-law, James C. Medellin; six sisters, Bernice Schmauch (Andy), Jenny Crall (Aaron), Betty Holderbaum (David), Geraldine Feathers (Jack), Madeline Mock, Helen Feathers (Clark); and two brothers, Donald Mock (Miriam) and Floyd Mock (Margaret).

   Services will be held Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. A viewing will be held Friday from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Filey's Cemetery, Dillsburg.
