Steven Earl Hockenberry

Steven E. Hockenberry, 68, of Dillsburg passed away Monday, September 15th, 2025, at his home.

   He was born Monday, June 10th, 1957, in Lewistown, PA the son of the late Quig M. and Dorothy M. (Bergstresser) Hockenberry.

   Steven was a graduate of Dover High School, class of 1975 and worked at various business in the area including Kinney Shoe Corporation in Shiremanstown and Weis Market in Mechanicsburg. 

   He was a member of Red Mount United Methodist Church in East Berlin and was an avid sports fan. Steven especially enjoyed football and tennis and followed the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks.

   He is survived by his 3 siblings, Diane C. Bowman of Dillsburg, Richard Q Hockenberry of Glendale AZ, Dottie K. Yost of East Berlin; and several nieces and nephews.  

   Services will be held Friday, September 19th, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. A viewing will be held Friday from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held following the service in the Red Mount Cemetery, East Berlin, PA.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church, Red Mount United Methodist Church, 1883 Baltimore Pike, East Berlin, PA 17316.
