Susan Myers Obituary

Susan passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family and went to be with the Lord on March 7th, 2025.

Susan was born October 27th, 1946, in York, Pennsylvania.

She was predeceased by her father, Carlton K. Rosenfield, and her mother Ruth L. Rosenfield of York, Pennsylvania.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Wayne Myers, sons Timothy E. Myers (Danielle) and Patrick R. Myers, granddaughter Cortney M. Zellers (Parker), and great grandson Harlen M. Zellers.

Susan was a 1964 graduate of North Hagerstown HS in Hagerstown Maryland.  She was a graduate of the School of Mechanical Drawing in Hagerstown Maryland.  She worked for PA&S Small, in York Pennsylvania.  Susan also volunteered for New Hope Ministries in Dover Pennsylvania, for seventeen years.  Above all, she was a loving stay at home mother to her sons Timothy and Patrick.

For anyone that knew Susan, you would not soon forget her.  Her passion for enjoying life and making friends was a huge part of her legacy.  She had a big heart and touched so many people throughout her life.  Some of her favorite things were Barry Manilow concerts, attending record shows, going to the beach, and visiting her husband Wayne’s family in Green Bank, WV (Who she considered her own family and dearly loved).  More recently she began attending LCBC Church in Hanover where she made many friends.

Most important to her was the time spent with her beloved great grandson Harlen.  Nothing brightened her day, lifted her spirits, or touched her soul like spending time with him.

Susan will be deeply missed by many for her spirit, generosity, and faithfulness to those she loved.

Services will be held Friday, March 14, 2025, at 3:00 pm in the Hope Grace Church, 110 Old York Road, Dillsburg, PA. A viewing will be held Friday from 1- 3 pm at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

A special thank you to granddaughter Cortney Zellers and niece Lori Baumgartner for helping care for Susan over the last several weeks.  The family also sends it’s gratitude to all who visited and provided meals and support to the family during this time.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to New Hope Ministries, 62 North Main Street, Dover PA 17315.
