Timothy Maynard Anderson

Timothy Maynard Anderson, age 79, formerly of Dillsburg passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Country Meadows in Mechanicsburg.

     He was born March 19, 1945, in Harrisburg, PA the son of the late Charles and Jean (Bott) Anderson.

     Timothy was a retired truck driver for New Penn Motor Express. 

     He served his country after enlisting in the U.S. Navy on August 21, 1963 and served until August 11, 1967.

     Timothy was a member of South Mountain V.F.W Post #6771 and served as a past All American Commander. He also was a member of the Dillsburg American Legion Post #26 and served in the York County Veterans Honor Guard. 

     Timothy enjoyed fishing with his grandson, never missing his granddaughters dance competitions and spending time with his family.

     He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Donna J. (Speck) Anderson; one son, Timothy M. Anderson, Jr. of Enola; one daughter, Valerie K. Fishel (Rodney) of Dillsburg; four siblings, Terry Anderson of Wellsville, Gail Oliver of Ft. Ritchie FL, Michael Anderson of Mt. Holly Springs, John Anderson of Carlisle; two grandchildren, Jacob (Becca) and Alexandra Fishel; and two great-granddaughters, Gracelynn Fishel and Stella Steager. Timothy was preceded in death by a sister, Marlene Ritter.

     A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025, in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg with military honors beginning at 11:30 am.  A visitation will be held from 10:30 am-11:30 am at the funeral home.
