Timothy E. Summers, 71, of Dillsburg passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at the Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, Camp Hill.
He was born August 16, 1950, in York the son of the late Paul and Audrey (Sterner) Summers.
Tim was a retired Warehouse Supervisor for the Mechanicsburg Navy Depot.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Tim was a member and past commander of the Dillsburg American Legion Post #26, Carlisle AmVets Post #274, and was a lifetime member of the Lower Allen V.F.W., Post #7530.
Tim loved his grandchildren and enjoyed Alabama football, Dallas Cowboys and John Wayne.
He is survived by his companion, Shirley A. Brandt; two sons, Sean E. Summers of York, Shane E. Summers of Bunnlevel, NC; two step-daughters, Kim Kelly of Jonestown, Debbie Brandt of West Chester; one brother, Daniel Summers of Lewes, DE; and thirteen grandchildren, Amanda, Zachary, Emma, Jake, Nicole, Cami, Madalene, Parker, Oliva, Kay, Sophie, Ellie, and Remi. Tim was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Summers.
A celebration of life will be held at the Dillsburg American Legion on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 1-4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dillsburg American Legion Post #26, 301 U.S. 15, Dillsburg, PA 17019.
