Virgie Lorraine (Fernbaugh) May

Virgie L. May, 95, of Dillsburg, PA passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025, at her home.

She was born September 15, 1930, in Mechanicsburg, PA the daughter of the late Charles and Ruby (Stitzel) Fernbaugh.

Virgie was the widow of Blaine E. May with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. 

She retired from Northern School District where she worked in the cafeteria. Virgie enjoyed cooking, baking, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

Virgie is survived by her three children, five grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and was one of eight siblings. 

Services will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. A viewing will be held Thursday from 10:00-11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Road.
