Virginia "Ginny" L. Thran, 86, of Dillsburg passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Green Ridge Village, Newville.
She was born January 1, 1937, in Cumberland County the daughter of the late Charles and Lila (Hoover) Moore.
Virginia was the widow of John H. Thran.
She worked alongside her husband as a bookkeeper for John H. Thran Well Drilling.
Virginia was a member of Chestnut Grove Church in Dillsburg and volunteered over 50 years for the Calvary Thrift Shop. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Virginia is survived by her three daughters, Barbara J. Thran, Carol L. Clayton and her husband Brian, Lynne M. Baim and her husband Mike all of Dillsburg; one sister, Shirley Miller of Shermansdale; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. A visitation will be held Thursday from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Golf Course Road.
