William “Bill” Roger Demsey of Dillsburg was a lifelong Eagles fan who worked hard to provide for his family. He was a proud son, brother, husband, dad, pappy, and legend in the Pennsylvania trash industry.
He passed away Friday, July 21, 2023.
He is survived by his two sons, Matthew and Michael Demsey; daughters-in-law, Lena and Emily Demsey; grandchildren, Aidan, Logan, Tate, Brynlee, and Cooper; and sister Lynn Malecka. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kristy Demsey. Son of the late William and Margaret Demsey of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
A supervisor in the trash industry for decades, Bill was highly regarded and known by all. His sons, Matthew and Michael, followed his footsteps to further build the Demsey legacy.
A former soccer player during his time at Messiah College, Bill coached Matthew and Michael’s childhood soccer teams and enjoyed sitting on the sidelines of his grandchildren’s various sporting events.
When his wife Kristy owned a dance studio, he was known for supporting her by building large creative floats for parades.
Without fail, Bill could be found cheering on the Eagles (or maybe cursing at them) every Sunday. Go Birds! He also loved to cook and made family dinners every Sunday, where his crab soup was loved by all.
